McLemore Marines Detachment #324 of the Marine Corps League is a 501 (c) (4) non-profit organization chartered by Congress, with numerous missions we accomplish in the greater Houston area. One of our favorite missions is to get connected with Marines and their families. We find that the more we are out in the community, we meet many of our fellow Marines. There are a couple ways one can join the League. If you are a Marine you are eligible for full membership. Follow the link below to download the PDF application. Fill it out and bring to our next meeting along with your DD-214. If you were not a Marine, but believe in our core values and wish to help us in our endeavors, you are eligible to become an associate member. Like a full member, you would fill out the form, but are not required to show a DD-214 when you come to the meeting. The primary differences between a full and an associate member is that only full members may vote or hold an elected office. Both may become life members at any time and it represents a substantial savings over annual membership dues.
McLemore meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 1900. Come early (1800) and enjoy some great barbecue. We begin promptly at 1900 so please plan accordingly. The meeting is held at:
Big Horn Barbecue
2300 Smith Ranch Road
Pearland, TX 77584
We do our best to limit meetings to an hour, and then we often hang out for a bit on a social level. Once you have become a member the expectation is that you will actively participate in as many of our numerous activities as possible.
We are always trying to connect with fellow Marines in the area, whether they wish to join the League or not. We do our best to keep abreast of Marine activities and events throughout Texas. Our goal is that our web presence will become your best resource for information on all things Marine going forward.
